let it snow, what a beautiful visual reminder of Jesus blood, covering up all of our short comings & making them as white as snow.

Today we were busy making Cream of Broccoli & Beef Barley Soup, along with Potato Buns, mmm such an aroma!!

Jesus is.....
the reason for the season!!
The only gift we need is Christ!! O may we cherish this gift!!
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
Yesterday was a very good day, we had a smaller group which allows us to get to hear peoples stories & insights on how to pray for them, O that they may know the fullness of God"s love.
So appreciated the men of our church that were there, good laughter & conversation around the tables.
We have a lady that comes & rug hooks & others are welcomed to join in.
Have a blessed week, wrapped warmly in His amazing love :)

Every Heart....
...has a story to tell!!
A young gal who has 3 children, the youngest was with her, was so overwhelmed by all that she received, from the lunch to the bread & apples that have been donated to give away, she was telling me how much money she would save, almost brought her to tears. Almost brought me to tears, when she asked if she could take 10 loaves of bread home to freeze, (a mother hoarding for her babes) but I told her we would have more bread next week that she would be welcomed too. What a blessing to see how God provides :)
Our dear friend was there, she had to have some shots which made her feel awful.
A young fellow took one of the Bibles, and asked if he could come to church!!
We had the most come for lunch yesterday, & one fellow went & brought in more!!
O that they may know of the treasure & riches that are in Christ Jesus, for we are all poor & needy within!!
Please continue to pray for this ministry as the Lord guides you :)

Sliced Apples...
...& more sliced apples. That is what us gals did today. If anyone has an idea or recipe for frozen sliced apples other then apple crisp, please let us know!!

Relationships....
...this ministry is such a learning experience to hear the heart of someone who is hungry & to walk beside them, what a humbling experience.
O may we not walk in front of them but guide them to & on the straight & narrow path!!
Yes, Wednesday was a good day!
Our dear friend (who has been ever Wed.), we thought she was not coming because of the weather, but I just happened to look up & there she was coming as fast as she could, a sight which brought a smile to our faces, & if possible a smile to our hearts!!
She said, nothing will be keeping her away :)
Thank you Lord, for blessing us, by bringing people into our soup kitchen for us to love and to share your love with them.

Time goes by fast.......
...when you are following your dream. I can't wait for Wednesday to come and to serve soup to those who the Lord brings through the building doors.
Today, Linda, Barb and I met to make the delicious soups & tasty buns. Linda's soups which are from scratch, fill the church kitchen with such a pleasing aroma :)
Thank you to the people of the Pentacostal Church in Houston, who supported the ministry of Love By The Bowl by giving some of the ingredients used in the soups, that will be served tomorrow!!
Please pray for us tomorrow, for God's protection and His wisdom, may our words be filled with love!!

Wednesday November 2nd
Yesterday, what a blessing we had 40 loaves of bread donated & 4 boxes of apples from the Apple Guy.
The numbers were down this week but we were entertained by a lady who has a great sense of humour!!

Our first day...
October 26, 2011 is when we opened the doors to our Love By The Bowl soup kitchen, it is very exciting to be offering this ministry to the community.
Was well received & what is going to have our building filled to the limit will be word of mouth & yes prayer :)
